Our first night in Vail we decided to go over to the free Gondola ride. The Gondola takes you up to the top of the mountain and up there they have a band a restaurant activities for the kids and a spectacular view. It was a perfect way to start off the trip.
When we came back down the little village we were in had free crafts for the kids to do and a free bull ride booth. The kids thought that was pretty cool.
The awaited game. A "MAJOR LEAGUE GAME" as Tylor would say. The coolest thing. It rained off and on through out the whole game but it was an awesome game. Tylor especially liked it when he was able to find a Phillies hat that fit him. It was the highlight of the evening.
If you look closely you can see Travis has dirt in his hands. They were both so excited to be on the field.
We spent a day in Leadville. This is a really big Mining town. We took a 2 1/2 hour train ride and saw the whole valley and learned about how things were ran back when the mines were really big in that town. It was amazing to see and learn. It was kind of chilly so of course we had to get hot chocolate on the train.
After the train ride we went over the the Mine Museum. Here is Travis with Chicken Bill.
And Tylor Kissing Chicken Bill. What a silly boy!!
A race to see who is the best Miner!!
My three favorite Guys!!
Travis always seems to squeeze himself in the smallest places. This hike was beautiful. You could see the whole valley. This was just outside of Frisco.
Fishing Buddies!!
Me and my boys!! I sure do love them.
These squirrels were coming right up to my hand and eating right out of it. It was pretty cool.
Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. We went to Breckenridge one of the days we were in Colorado and found this restaurant and it is completely based off the movie Forest Gump. It was pretty pricey but so much fun. The food was good and the atmosphere was awesome. The boys hadn't seen that movie so as soon as we got home we had to watch it. We made sure we stopped in the gift shop before leaving and got the boys a t-shirt that says "My momma always said I was special" They think they are the coolest things. For a pretty pricey restaurant this was the cheapest place to get souvenirs, the whole trip.
"Momma always said Life is like a box of Chocolates you never know what your going to get."
So much fun. Can't wait to start planning the next adventure. For now we are all dreading the day that is coming close "Back to School/ Work". Hope you all have had as fun of a summer as we have.
